7Artisans 35mm f/5.6 Sony E-Mount | FullFrame | A natural view for street and travel

On a walk through a busy street, you want a view that includes the scene without making every frame feel wide. The 7Artisans 35mm f/5.6 is a manual-focus standard prime for Sony E-mount cameras with full-frame sensors, with a 63 angle of view. Its 35mm focal length suits everyday street scenes and travel, from a caf frontage to the people and details around a station. This is a straightforward lens for photographers who enjoy setting focus themselves and taking a more deliberate approach to framing. The maximum aperture is f/5.6, so its best used when theres enough light, or when youre happy to adjust your camera settings to suit dimmer conditions. It comes in black and keeps the idea simple: one familiar focal length, a full-frame view and manual control over focus.

Specialist Note

The black finish gives this lens a quiet look on a Sony E camera, which feels well suited to unobtrusive street photography. Id use the 35mm view to include a subject and some of its surroundings; on a Sony APS-C body, it frames more like a 52.5mm lens, which can help isolate a travel detail. Manual focus rewards taking a moment to set your point of focus before pressing the shutter. One practical limit is the f/5.6 maximum aperture: in low light, you may need to raise ISO or accept a slower shutter speed. For bright streets and considered travel pictures, that trade-off is easy to plan around.
