Verbatim VX500 SSD 480 GB Portable USB 3.1 Gen 2 (USB-C Connection) Space Grey | Portable storage for current projects

The Verbatim VX500 is a portable SSD with 480 GB of storage, built for people who want to keep selected files on a drive they can take with them. It suits photographers, students and office users who need a separate place for current projects, exports or documents. The connection is USB-C, with USB 3.1 Gen 2 specified for the interface. Space Grey keeps the look understated. Its clearest use is portable storage for a considered set of files, rather than a place to put every archive youve ever made. That makes it easier to think about what you actually need close at hand: an active project, a set of working documents or files you want to carry between work locations. Its a straightforward proposition, with a defined capacity and a portable format.

A focused place for working files

For a drive like this, it helps to decide what belongs on it before filling it up. You might set aside a project folder, a batch of finished exports or documents you need for a particular task. Keeping the drive focused can make it simpler to find what youre looking for, instead of treating portable storage as a catch-all. If you already have a filing system, this can sit alongside it as a separate place for the material youre currently using. Id think of it as a practical companion to your regular workflow, not a replacement for deciding how you organise and retain your files. The useful question is simply what you want to carry with you; this model gives that choice a clear, portable home.
