The HPE ProLiant DL340 Gen12 Primary Front OCP Enablement Kit (P77277-B21) activates the primary front OCP slot (Slot A) in Box 2 of the DL340 Gen12’s 3-box modular front bay, enabling GPU and front OCP network adapter configurations on SFF/EDSFF CTO chassis. As the Primary slot variant, it uniquely provides the Network Controller Sideband Interface (NCSI) share-NIC function a capability not available on the secondary slot making it the required first step when expanding the server’s front connectivity.

This kit is a mandatory prerequisite before adding the Front Secondary OCP Enablement Kit (P81903-B21), ensuring correct modular build sequencing for DL340 Gen12 deployments.
