The HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen12 8SFF x1 U.3 Tri-Mode Drive Cage Kit is an internal storage expansion accessory purpose-built for the HPE ProLiant Compute DL580 Gen12 server platform. Adding 8 Small Form Factor drive bays with a U.3 Tri-Mode interface, this cage kit supports SAS, SATA, and NVMe drives within a single bay giving infrastructure teams the flexibility to mix drive protocols as storage requirements evolve. It is ideal for mission-critical enterprise workloads that demand high-density, multi-protocol internal storage configuration.

Part of the HPE ProLiant Gen12 modular drive cage ecosystem, this kit integrates directly into the DL580 Gen12 chassis with minimal tooling required, simplifying installation and reducing downtime during storage upgrades. Compatible exclusively with the DL580 Gen12 platform, it is suited to organisations scaling internal capacity for databases, virtualisation, or data-intensive applications.
